Microcement in an apartment or house renovation
Microcement is a cement-based coating applied in a thin layer to floors, walls, stairs or furniture – without joints, in one piece. Because it is only 2–3 mm thick, we often apply it directly over existing tiles or screed, so demolition and waste removal are not needed. The surface is waterproof, suitable for shower zones and underfloor heating, and combines beautifully with parquet and wood.
It is applied in several coats with sanding in between and a final protective sealer, so substrate preparation and correct drying are decisive for durability. You choose the shade and texture from the samples in the showroom.

Frequently asked questions
Does microcement crack?
Correctly applied it does not – the key is a stable substrate and a reinforcing mesh in the first coat. Cracks in the substrate (e.g. screed expansion joints) must be repaired before application.
Is it suitable for a shower?
Yes, with a waterproof sealer microcement is a popular choice for joint-free shower zones. Correct waterproofing underneath is essential.
Can you apply microcement over old tiles?
Yes, if the tiles are firmly bonded. We fill the joints and bridge the surface, so a bathroom renovation needs no demolition.
How do I clean it and how long does it last?
With mild, non-abrasive cleaners. After years of use the sealer can be renewed without removing the coating.
